As part of Portugal Inovação Social's Partnerships for Innovation, we have approved the Project for the Central Region, which will bring the "ColorADD in Schools Program" back to Médio Tejo and Beira Baixa. This project began on November 1, 2024, and will end on October 30, 2027. We will have the opportunity to visit each 3rd grade class of the 1st CEB (Basic Primary School) in each school in Médio Tejo and Beira Baixa, at two different times. It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that we will return to the schools in these regions to raise awareness among the youngest children about color blindness. We believe that education for diversity can begin early, and it is precisely this factor that leads us to introduce a new dynamic to the "ColorADD in Schools Program," which aims to raise awareness among the youngest children about bullying. Soon, we will be in the classrooms sharing this mission with the little agents of change! Because color is for Everyone!

We've arrived at the Cávado Schools! We've seen a project approved for the Northern Region, which will cover the Cávado region, under the Portugal Inovação Social Partnerships for Innovation program. This project began on February 1, 2025, and will run until January 31, 2027. During this period, we will implement the "ColorADD in Schools Program" in all 3rd grade 1st CEB classes, including mixed-sex classes, in this region. A new project that represents a new opportunity to raise awareness within the entire educational community about color blindness and, more recently, bullying. This topic, as we know, marks the school journey of many of our children and deserves all the attention we can give it! Here comes another school year, with another project that opens the door to seeing the world with new eyes—and more heart! Because color is for everyone!

A decade full of Color! It was 10 years ago that ColorADD Social took the “ColorADD School Program” to Santo Tirso for the first time and, since then, this partnership has not stopped! Ten years, more than 4,700 screenings carried out by the project's 6 partner opticians, in 38 schools from 4 groups and other non-group schools! It has been a long and wonderful journey, full of color, sharing and friendship, done hand in hand with the Municipality of Santo Tirso, which for us already represents home. It was a joy and, without a doubt, an honor to celebrate this milestone today, November 6th, at Escola Secundária D. Dinis, together with the school community, its students and professionals, partner opticians and representatives of the Municipality, as without your support and participation, this path would certainly not be so beautiful. Thank you Santo Tirso, here’s to the next ten years! Because color is for ALL!

THE CODE

EDUCATION
SCHOOL PROGRAM
We developed a program, composed of a series of actions, which are carried out in primary schools, mainly to 3rd graders, as well as to the entire educational community, so that they can understand both this limitation and the inherent day-to day constraints, whilst learning a tool, which allows a colorblind person to overcome such difficulties. Being this a continuity program, annually replicated, it will be possible to embrace all primary school pupils.
